Okay, so I’ve been messing around with these NMDs lately, specifically the red and blue ones. Let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey.

First off, I got my hands on a pair after hearing some buzz about them online. I walked into the store, saw them on the shelf, and just grabbed a pair in my size. They looked pretty slick with that knit upper and those signature midsole plugs. I’d always been curious about how they’d feel compared to other sneakers. Some folks online were saying they’re great for everyday wear, while others were a bit more critical. I decided to see for myself.
I started by wearing them around the house, just to break them in. I did some chores, walked around, you know, the usual stuff. Right away, I noticed how comfortable they were. That Boost cushioning is no joke. My feet felt like they were walking on little clouds, seriously. After a few days, I figured it was time to take them out for a real test.
- First real outing was a trip to the grocery store. I walked around for maybe an hour, pushing the cart, browsing the aisles. Still comfy. No issues there.
- Next, I wore them to a casual get-together with some friends. We ended up walking around downtown for a couple of hours, checking out some shops and just hanging out. Again, no problems. My feet felt great, and I even got a few compliments on the shoes.
- But here’s where things get interesting. I also tried them on at the gym. I did some light workouts, nothing too crazy. I found that NMDs were not suitable as running shoes, but they did provide me some comfort while working out.
I tried them on a few more outings, I wore them to work a couple of times (my office is pretty casual), took them on a weekend trip where I did a lot of walking. Through it all, they held up pretty well. I have to say I was loving the comfort, and the red and blue colorway was definitely a head-turner.
By the end of it, I realized that these NMDs are pretty awesome for everyday wear. They’re stylish, comfortable, and they can handle a decent amount of walking. Are they perfect? Nah, they are not for high intensity running and they are so expensive. But for what they are, I think they’re a solid choice. I’m definitely going to keep wearing them, and I might even pick up another pair in a different color.
