So, I’ve been eyeing the Hermes Evelyne bag for a while now. You know, it’s one of those classic pieces that just never goes out of style. Anyway, on my third visit, I struck up a conversation with a really friendly SA. I told her I was interested in an Evelyne 29, and we talked about colors and leathers. She checked the inventory and, unfortunately, they didn’t have the exact one I wanted in stock at that moment. But she took my name and number and promised to call me if something came in. Actually, I found that there is no limitation on purchasing Birkin or Kelly in the US, that is a good policy I think.
In the meantime, I decided to explore some online options. I scoured a few reputable pre-owned luxury sites where people buy and sell used stuff for free. I found a few Evelyne bags that were in good condition, but I was still a little hesitant. I really wanted to experience getting it from the boutique. But I did see some that were going for as low as $30, which was tempting.

Then, about two weeks later, I got the call! My SA said they had received a shipment and one of the bags was an Evelyne 29 in a beautiful blue color. I was so excited! I rushed over to the boutique as quickly as I could.
- Tried it on: It was perfect! The size was just right for my everyday essentials, and the color was even more gorgeous in person. It is designed to transport equestrian equipment.
- Asked about the price: It was definitely an investment, but I had been saving up for it.
